Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
(PBIS)

What is PBIS?

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach that helps schools create safe, positive, and predictable learning environments for all students. Rather than focusing only on what not to do, PBIS emphasizes teaching and recognizing positive behavior so that students understand expectations and feel supported in meeting them.

At its core, PBIS is about helping every student succeed-academically, socially, and emotionally- by building strong relationships and consistent routines across the school.
