Facilities Advisory Committee
September 3, 2026
Dear MSAD 60 Community Member,
We are writing to invite you to a community conversation about the status of our school facilities. MSAD 60 is home to
nine buildings, including our transportation garage, spread across the towns of North Berwick, Berwick and Lebanon.
These buildings represent decades of investment and memory in our communities, and the decisions we make about them
in the years ahead will shape our schools for the next generation of students.
As you may know, the conversations about declining enrollment and use of our older buildings has been in the forefront of
our budget discussions. This gathering is the next step in a longer process, and its purpose is to listen. We want to hear
what each of our three towns values about its school buildings, what concerns you carry, and what priorities should guide
the choices ahead. Your input will directly inform the work of the administration and the Board as we move forward.
We know that each of our communities has its own history and its own relationship with its school buildings. We are
structuring this conversation to make sure every town, and every perspective, has room to be heard.
Details
Date: Thursday September 17
Time: 6:30 pm (flexible end time but no longer than 2 hours)
Location: Noble Middle High School Library
Important Note: An RSVP is required to join the conversation! Please RSVP by September 11th to
s.austin@msad60.org, so we can plan accordingly.
This conversation works best with a broad cross-section of voices in the room. Whether you are a parent, a grandparent, a
taxpayer, a neighbor of one of our buildings, or simply someone who cares about this district, we hope you will join us.
From this conversation a District Facilities Advisory Committee will be officially created and a schedule of meetings will
be shared.
Sincerely,
Susan Austin
Assistant Superintendent of Schools, MSAD 60
