MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING OF January 8, 2026
Current Board Members-
North Berwick- Lauren Janousek, Kate Whalen, Joshua Tabor
Berwick- Alison Herlihy, Marissa Tasker, Peg Wheeler
Lebanon- Nancy Sewell, Jeridene Basko, Melissa Cyr

A meeting of the Board of Directors was held in person at Noble Middle and High School on January 8, 2026 at 7:09 pm with all members attending except Ms. Janousek who was remote.
There were 175 plus in the audience.
Pledge of Allegiance
Ms. Cyr asked for a reconsideration of a vote of Policy ACAA and it was seconded by Mr. Tabor. All members voted in favor except Ms. Tasker, Ms. Janousek, Ms. Wheeler and Ms. Whalen and the motion passed. The item will be added to a future agenda.
The Superintendent shared a statement of fact.
The Vice Chair read the public input statement.

Minutes:
Ms. Wheeler made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Basko to accept the minutes of December 18, 2025. All members voted in favor and the motion passed.
K-3 Student Technology Access and Cyber Security:
Ms. Herlihy shared her concerns regarding the use of 1-1 devices in our K-3 schools. She is concerned about screen time. Ms. Dumont, Technology Director, discussed the use of computers in the classroom as well as cybersecurity.
Employment:
New Hire:
Eleanor Chow- Assistant Director of Adult Education. Ms. Wheeler made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Cyr to approve the employment of Ms. Chow. All members voted in favor and the motion passed.
Resignation
Alex McCormack-Kuhman- Assistant Athletic Director. Ms. Wheeler made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Herlihy to approve the resignation of Mr. McCormack-Kuhman. All members voted in favor and the motion passed.
Superintendent Update:
We have shuffled our January meetings… next one is January 22nd.
We have also adjusted our February meetings due to February break. February 8 and February 26, 2026
Updates for the policy committee regarding meetings, dates are being developed.
Other
Mr. Tabor shared his feelings about his educational concerns for the district.
Ms. Janousek shared congratulations to Hannah Perro on her 100th pin in wrestling with the Noble team.
Ms. Tasker made a motion and it was seconded by Ms. Wheeler to censure board member Josh Tabor for not following the established protocol policy committee process and endangering staff, students and board members. There was some discussion.
Ms. Basko asked for a Roll Call vote:

In Favor Peg Wheeler, Kate Whalen, Marissa Tasker, and the motion failed.
Ms. Sewell asked about the CT LLC compensation.
