MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING OF September 17, 2026

Current Board Members- 

        North Berwick-  Lauren Janousek, Kate Whalen, Richard DeCato

                           Berwick- Alison Herlihy, Marissa Tasker, Peg Wheeler

                           Lebanon- Nancy Sewell, Jeridene Basko, Melissa Cyr

Ms. Sewell entered the meeting at 6:30 pm, Ms. Whalen was not present for the meeting.

Executive Session Pursuant to 1M.R.S.A. §405(6)(B) Readmission of a Student 

Ms. Janousek made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Cyr to go into executive session pursuant to Executive Session 1 MRSA 405§(6)(B) Readmission of a Student. All members voted in favor and the motion passed. In at 6:02 pm. Out at 6:28 pm. 

Ms. Tasker made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Janousek to reinstate the student under consideration. All members voted in favor and the motion passed. 

A meeting of the Board of Directors was held in person at Noble Middle and High School on September 17, 2026 at 6:00pm with all members attending in person except Ms. Whalen.

There were 33 in the audience. 

Pledge of Allegiance

Ms. Cyr read a public input statement. Ms. Beauvais shared that the public input statement was on the iPad at the microphone.

Employment:

New Hires:

Rebecca Bouton- Facilities Director. Ms. Cyr  made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Herlihy to approve Ms. Bouton.  Six members voted in favor and Ms. Basko and Ms. Sewell voted against the motion and the motion passed.

Zachary Desmarais- NIS Music Teacher, Bachelor of Music University of New Hampshire. Ms Janousek made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Cyr to approve Mr. Desmarais.  All members voted in favor and the motion passed.

Adjournment

Ms. Janousek made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Tasker to adjourn. All members voted in favor and the motion passed. Adjourned  at  6:40 pm.
