Elementary Family Letter 5.4.21

May 4, 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians of Kindergarten through Fifth Graders:

This letter is being written to relay some updated information. We are in the midst of a very busy part of the school year. There are increased amounts of state driven and district assessments that typically occur during this time of the year. In response to that, and given the fact that transportation has been stable and the weather is more conducive to outdoor lessons and activities, we are looking at potentially shifting the elementary start time to allow a bit more time to assess students without compromising daily lessons in the literacy, math, and the content areas. There are several details we are still working through but we wanted to provide this update. If it does come to pass that a schedule shift will occur, families will have ample notice (at least a week) to plan accordingly.

Sincerely,

Audra Beauvais

Superintendent of Schools
