Laura Cashell updated the board on the TriTown Book Mobile.

The Superintendent notified the board regarding School Disposition of Property. This property, 598 pieces of technology at fair market value would amount to $52,940 in sales; however, there is a company, AG Parts, working with us to distribute this technology and they will be rated as A, B or C quality. Per Policy DN, we notified the municipalities about the availability of these items. They have one week to give us feedback on whether they would like to purchase any hardware. Any funds received by the school will become part of the general funds.

The Superintendent then updated the board on the building committee and the proposed projects throughout the district at the elementary levels. Each of the towns will be seeing increases in population so North Berwick Elementary and the Hussey School would be looking for additions. The Lebanon Elementary School will be taken out of use, and a new school will be built close to the Hanson School. The total project is estimated at this time to be $39,800,000. This includes a 25% contingency fund. We are also applying to the State School Revolving Renovation Fund (SRRF) for sprinkler work that needs to be done at the Hanson School, NBES, and Hussey, as well as asbestos abatement at the Noble Middle School.

The Superintendent shared with the board updated policies to be placed into their updated policy booklets.

Mr. Mike Roberts, principal at Noble Middle School, shared with the board the event called “7th grade Wax Museum,” it was really well done and well attended by the community. Elyse Galeucia, the literacy coach at NMS, should be commended for her effort along with all of the ELA teachers at NMS.
