MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING August 22, 2019

A meeting of the Board of Directors was held at Noble High School in North Berwick, Maine on August 22, 2019 at 6:00 pm, with all members present except Mr. Doiron, Ms. Beal and Ms. Neubert. There were 6 in the audience.

Ms. Beal entered the meeting at 6:13 pm.

Ms. Mallett made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Potter to go into executive session pursuant to 1 MRSA 405 §(6)(C) Use of Property. All members voted in favor and the motion passed. In at 6:05 pm. Out at 6:19 pm.

Ms. Mallett made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Beal to go into executive session pursuant to 1 MRSA 405 §(6)(A) Employment of an Official. All members voted in favor and the motion passed. In at 6:20 pm. Out at 6:30 pm.

Ms. Mallett made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Potter to go into executive session for the readmission of a student. All members voted in favor and the motion passed. In at 6:33 pm. Out at 6:59 pm.

Ms. Potter made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Beal to readmit the student under consideration. All members voted in favor except Ms. Corliss who abstained and the motion passed.

Ms. Mallett, vice chair, addressed the audience regarding the norms of Public Input.

Public Input: None at this time

Ms. Hopper made the motion and it was seconded by Ms. Potter to accept the minutes of July 19th as presented. All members voted in favor and the motion passed.

Mr. Dwayne Morin, Town Manager for North Berwick, shared with the board a proposal to convert the Streetlights to LED lights. This would potentially save the district some reasonable funds over the next 20 years. Here at Noble High School we have 13 streetlights that will be able to be converted.
